Dr. Glaser has a comprehensive approach to patients with arthritis consisting of obtaining, X-Rays, lab work, and then Dr. Glaser works with the patient as team to provide the best care for that individual.  Various medications exist for arthritis such as anti-inflammatories or pain medications to relieve the pain, and glucosamine chondroitin to help preserve the cartilage that currently exists in the joint. Dr. Glaser may also recommend bracing, physical therapy, or specific exercises to strengthen the muscles around the joint as well.

There are different injection therapies that Dr. Glaser treats arthritis with such as corticorsteroid injections, viscosupplementation injections, and platelet rich plasma injections.  If these conservative measures do not help and you are ready for a joint replacement or a surgical option Dr. Glaser has multiple colleagues at Central States Orthopedics that perform these procedures.
